About this regulator
As stated by its slogan, the Estonian FIU is the guardian of honest financial transactions. The grounds of its activities are regulated by the Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Prevention Act opens in a new tab. The FIU’s mission is to ensure the transparency and honesty of financial transactions through the collection, analysis and sharing of financial intelligence information in order to prevent the use of the financial system and economic space of the Republic of Estonia for money laundering, financing terrorism and evading financial sanctions.
